Mwangala recently completed the Adult Social Care Sector Routeway course with Skills-UK, in partnership with Sheffield City Council. Her journey is a great example of how training and support can help individuals build confidence and progress in their careers.
Having previously worked in care, Mwangala was eager to gain a formal qualification to develop her skills and enhance her job prospects. She wanted to deepen her understanding of care values, learn how to provide person-centred care, and improve her employability skills, including interview techniques.
Throughout the course, Mwangala found the content highly beneficial, particularly the guidance on interview questions related to adult social care principles and values. When she attended a job interview, many of the questions she had prepared for were asked, which gave her the confidence to respond effectively.
As a result of her hard work and preparation, Mwangala successfully secured a role as a Care Assistant with Bupa UK, a well-respected care provider.
Now, as she steps into her new role, Mwangala feels well-equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed. She is confident in facing any challenges with a positive mindset, and her story is a testament to the impact of high-quality training in helping individuals achieve their career goals in adult social care.
